ANALYSIS ON THE MOMENTUM, MODE AND COOPERATIVE FIELD OF CENTRAL CITIES'INTERACTION IN PAN-PEARL RIVER DELTA ECONOMIC CIRCLE

Abstract  The interaction among central cities in Pan Pearl River Delta Region (PPRDR), including Hong Kong and Macau, can effectively promote the cooperation and development of the Region, following up the trend of interior demand of city development and regional cooperation. The dynamic initiatives for central city interaction include government promotion, market mechanism, resources sharing and regional varieties and the complementarities. Effective interactive modes include the double-unit interaction between government and enterprises, connection of industries, interaction of city circle, sister city strategy and so on. Central city cooperation and development in PPRDR will be promoted through governmental macro-control and enterprise operation. Central city interaction will be deepened by industrial transfer and acceptation, which can be carried out in the key fields of city planning, division of labor and cooperation between manufacture industries, port cooperation and customs platform construction as well as social resources while other fields, should also be considered into the interaction. Establishing different layers of economic circle can not only enhance the interaction among central cities in the circle, but also realize the grads interaction. Also, building up a friendly cooperation network among the central cities helps to promote central city interaction and enhance the cooperation and development of PPRDR. In short, the integration of all the above resources can enhance the central city interaction, optimize the overall development of each part and the whole region, and enhance the regional competitiveness of the PPRDR.
